Frequently Asked Questions

How do I check in?

Simply tap the fire icon on the home screen. That's it! Your friends will see that you've checked in.

What happens if I don't check in?

Your fire will gradually fade from bright flames to dim, then to embers, and eventually go out. Friends can send you a nudge to remind you to check in.

How do I add friends?

Go to the Circle tab and tap "Add Friend" to generate an invite link. Share it with your friend, and once they accept, you'll be connected.

What are trusted contacts?

Trusted contacts are people outside the app (like family members) who will receive an SMS alert if you haven't checked in for an extended period. You can add them in Settings.

How do I enable away mode?

Go to Settings and tap "Enable away mode" to pause alerts while you're traveling, camping, or otherwise unavailable. Your trusted contacts won't be notified during this time.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings > Delete Account. This will permanently remove all your data, including your profile, check-in history, and friend connections.

Can I block someone?

Yes. Tap on a friend's profile and select "Block" to prevent them from seeing your check-in status or sending you nudges.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your check-in status is only visible to friends you've mutually accepted. We don't track your location, and we don't sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
